The Amalfi Coast

Hello My Lovelies

At the end of August I went to Italy to visit my family which was really lovely because the weather was wonderful and the sun was shining all the time. It was good to get away from the Uk "summer" because summer in the Uk is not really a summer. Moving on going to Italy was different this time because we went to a place called Amalfi which is a lovely town thats on the mountains leading down the sea.

Seeing the views and having the sun glistening on the water was mesmerising. I really enjoyed coming to this town because it had it's own culture even though majority of people were christian. Seeing how they were selling unusual crafts was interesting because it was something different.

I loved walking around and looking at the little boutiques they had of hand crafted jewellery and also they had different clothing as well.

If any of you guys go to Italy, I would recommend you go to this town because it's so peaceful and relaxing. You wake up to a nice view and you have the sea right in front of you. There is the mountains where you can walk and see the view from looking downwards.

All these photos where taken on the iPhone 6.
I hope you have enjoyed this post. Thank you for reading!!

Kenya

Hello My Lovelies

Mid July I went Kenya to visit my family but also to celebrate Eid with them since it was during Ramadhan at the time. I haven't seen my family in 2 years and I was really excited to be reunited with because we used to go every year since i was 1. So missing a year was tough because I wasn't able to see them. I wouldn't miss a year again because I really did find it hard not seeing them every summer.

We visited different places such as Malindi, Kanamai and Watamu. Visiting these places was amazing because I got to see different culture and they all had a different vibe.

Visiting Kanamai we stayed at a cottage with a private pool but it also had a path where you could swim the sea. I have to say this was so beautiful because it was so peaceful and the view was amazing. Having the sea front in front of you was just magical. The people in the area were so friendly and kind.

Malindi
When we went to Malindi we visited different towns within Malindi. I have to say i want to visit Malindi more because I enjoyed seeing their culture, their arts and craft. The beaches in Malindi were so beautiful because they were so white and in the sun it was glittery as well which was just spectacular to see and I never seen a glittery sand before. The sea was beautiful because you could see the different colours of blue and green in the sun.

These were a few of the photos that I took when we visited the palaces. I would really recommend going to these places to see the culture and feeing how others live. You see a different way of life and you become grateful for what you have because you see people struggle for food everyday. These photo were taken on a Canon EOS 1100D.

Kiko Milano Cosmetics

Hello My Lovelies

Firstly I wold like to apologies for not posting any blog post in a loge while. I have been away went to Kenya and Italy during the summer holidays. I would do a Italy post soon don't you worry. I am back now and will be posting post once a week.

I thought I would do a First impression/Haul on the Kiko Cosmetics. Before going to Italy I bought a few products and when I went to Italy I bought even more products. So I wanted to share with you what I bought and how I felt about their products.

Kiko Milano Cosmetics is an Italian brand that sell affordable make up products. The products have an amazing feel on the skin and the pigmentation is wonderful. I would have to say the products are very much high end feel however they very cheap. The pigmentation of their lip liners and lipsticks are amazing. This was my first time ever buying products from them. So let's begin talking about the products:

I love this highlighter, it's so creamy and blends amazing on the skin. You can build on the intensity of the highlighter, if you want a subtle look or a more dramatic highlight. The highlighter retails at £8.50 and you get 10g of product. I love the packaging of the product as well. It's a matte black with silver writing. The pigmentation is wonderful as well.

Unlimited Stylo - Long Lasting Lipsticks

I bought two lipsticks from this range. The shades I have is 09 - Baby Rose and 14 - Natural Beige The pigmentation of these lipsticks are amazing, they have a silky feel to them. They aren't so glossy or drying the lips. They don't have that sticky feel when you put your lips together either. They are very soft and easy to blend for a subtle look.  Both the lipsticks have a semi-matte finish on the lips. The lipsticks are long lasting on the lips and they don't transfer so easily either which is a bonus for when you are eating. The lipsticks retail at £6.90 and you get 2 grams of product.

The Baby Rose lipstick is bright pink lipstick which has red/blue undertone. This will suit light to medium skin tones very well. This colour will be nice during the spring and Summer. I love this colour because it's not too so I'm your face like a barbie pink lipstick.

The Natural Beige lipstick is a nude lipstick with a pink undertone. This colour will suit more light skin tones more than a medium skin tone because with the a medium completion it can look a bit washed out. I love This colour during the fall and winter would be amazing and you can also put a darker lip liner underneath to make it little bit darker.

I bought two lip pencils from this range and I really want to get some more because the pigmentation of the pencils are so good. They stay on your lips and glide very well. They are very soft and very build able. They blend very well of you just want a light stain on the lips. They both retail at £2.50 each which is really cheap for a lip liner with that pigmentation and softness.

The first shade I bought is 706 - Classic Red. I love this shade because it is a true red, with the blue undertones. I can not fault this shade, it's lovely by itself and the wear ability with a red lipstick on top is amazing. It last long and I love it!

The other shade is 711 - Light Plum. I wanted a dark purple shade lip liner which will go with my makeup revolution lipstick in Rebel with Cause. I have to say this is a close match with that lipstick. The moment I searched the lip liner I was like buying this product. This lip liner is so soft and the pigmentation is wonderful. I literally love it, it lasts a long time on my lips.

I would really recommend these lip liners because they are so soft and general on the lips. I love the packaging with the metal lookalike case makes it very sophisticated, smart and expensive.

Intense Colour Long Lasting Eyeliner in the shade 16 - Black

I been on a hunt for a black eyeliner for a long time which was very pigmented and long lasting on the water last. I think I have found that product. The moment swatched it on my hand, it was calling out for me. It very intense and a true black. It doesn't move from my water line which is a bonus. I can use it on the top for my eye to create a wing effect but then smudge out with the sponge at the end of the pencil. The eye liner retails at £5.20 and I think it's very cheap.

A swatch of Black

This make up remover is so gentle but really effective. I wanted a make up remover for my eye makeup in case I used any waterproof products but also a remover that can take off red lipstick without leaving a stain on my lips. This product does that, it's a dual solution so you have to shake it before you put it on a cotton pad. I love this product because it doesn't leave a oily finish to the skin and it leaves my skin clean. This retails at £5.90 for a 125ml which is cheaper to other products. The packaging is very classic and neat which is very appealing.

Overall I love Kiko Cosmetics because they are very affordable and the quality is just overwhelming. It is like having high end quality but the price is so much more cheaper. I would recommend Kiko to my family and friends.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. There will be more to come.
Thank you for readying.

Ramadhan Goals

Hello My Lovelies

Today I wanted to share the goals I made during the holy month of Ramadhan. Insha'Allah I want to achieve some of them or even all by Eid. If I don't then I will still carry on trying through out the year. So lets get started;

1. Finish the Qur'an

This is very durable because the Qur'an is in 30 parts which is 1 part a day.

2. Read the Qur'an in English.

The reason behind this is because I want to know more in depth what I am readying and understand what Allah is telling us through the Qur'an.

3. Learn Some of these Suras

- Sura An-Nas
- Sura Al-Falaq
- Sura Al-Kafiroon
- Sura Al-Asr

Learning suras are important because you can use them in your salah and read them before you sleep.

4. Learn these Dua's

When beginning the fast
وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَا
Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri ramadan
(I intend to keep the fast today in the month of Ramadan)

When breaking the fast
اللَّهُمَّ اِنِّى لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ امنْتُ وَ عَلى رِزْقِكَ اَفْطَرْتُ
Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa 'ala rizq-ika aftarthu
(O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance)

What are your goals during Ramadhan?

Revolution Makeup

Hello Lovelies

I recently went to Superdrug and bought make up from the brand Makeup Revolution. I wanted to buy their Iconic Palettes because they were a good drugstore dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palettes. The reason why I bought these palettes was because I wanted to see if I would wear the colours without spending a lot of money on the Urban Decay. However I think I will be buying one if the Naked Palettes probably the 3 because I have used that a lot for when I go out. These pallets are £4 each which is very cheap for the quality you are getting.

I bought two of their pallets which were Iconic 2 and Iconic 3. I love these palettes because they are really soft and very pigmented. All their colour are very neutral and wearable during the day. You can also use the same pallet to change you eye look to the night time. Both pallets have shimmer and 3 or 4 matte shades.

The Iconic 2 pallets has more neutral colours, having a few matte brown shade, shimmery gold shade and a good matte black to make a smokey eye. I really do like this pallet especially the shimmery gold shade, that shade reminds me of half baked by Urban Decay which I love. All the shades are very wearable and the pigmentation is AMAZING especially the matte black.

The Iconic 3 pallets is more of your pinky and purple tones shadows. I have to say this is my favourite out of the two just because the colours are really wearable (day and night) and I have been reaching out for this pallet more than the 2 which is surprising since I love my neutral toned shadows. This pallet has a your matte and shimmer shades as well. The colours are pigmented and they all blend really well together.

Swatches of Iconic 2

Swatches of Iconic 3
The only disappointing thing about the pallets is that the packaging is not the best but what do you expect for spending £4. I can live with the packaging not being so great. I can't wait to try more of their products because these palettes are really good and pigmented.

Would recommend them to everyone!
Please comment below what you like from the brand,

Thanks for readying

Top Tips for Uni

Hello My Lovlies

I am nearly finishing my first year of my Foundation Degree. I have one semester left. I can’t believe it, it has gone so fast. I thought it would be a good idea to do a top tips because I know some of you will be going to university in September.  So lets begin!

Folders

Having a folder is so useful because you will be given so many hand out and sheets of paper. I would say have one for each term, I know this sounds extreme but trust me. You will need them.

Dividers

These are very handy because during a term you will have different tutors and it will be good to have their handouts separate from each other. It’s a good way to keep organised since you will have mini assisgments to given in.

Sticky Notes

Sticky notes are good for when you are readying the library books and since you are not able to highlight the important part. Having these sticking out of the page will help you reference what you needs and it will be easy going to that page. Try to have different colours because it will look interesting but also you will be able to separate the notes from each other.

Notebook

My notebook is my life because I write down everything from deadline dates to my to do list for uni. Having a notes book is useful as you will have to write down key information and it will keep you from missing deadlines.

Being ORGANISED

This is is the most important tip because you will have to organise your time to when you do your work. Sometimes you would have to priorities your work but don't forget to have a social life as well. I would recommend you take breaks now and then since your brain will forget the information. By being organised you won't miss your deadlines and you will be on track.

Hope these few tips will be helpful for you guys!!
Comment below with your tips!
Thanks for readying :)
