What I Loved In The Month of January

Hello My Lovelies,

I can not believe we have finished a month already, where is all the time going and are we achieving all our 2019 goals? I know I am certainly not because I feel February is where it all begins because I am just getting used to the fact it is 2019. 

Let's start this post already, What have I loved in January. 

Firstly is the Davido Concert at the O2 Arena, it was sold out and I had the most amazing time. I have to say that was definitely what I loved most in January. He put on an amazing performance which got everyone in the arena screaming, jumping and singing especially me. I was disappointed in the fact he kept us waiting for over an hour but I guess there were some technical issues or something going on backstage. However when he finally came out I think we all just forgot about the waiting and just enjoyed his performance. He brought out special guests such as Idris Elba, Peruzzi, Mayorkrun, Russ and many more. I would defiantly go and see him again. Anyone who likes Nigerian music please go watch him live and listen to his music. I will link my favourite song by Davido at the bottom of this post. 

Secondly I been wearing Fenty Beauty's lipgloss in Fenty Glow and liquid lipstick in uncuffed all the time whenever I am doing my make up. This combination is lovely and the liquid lipstick is not drying at all and it lasts a long time as well. The lipgloss smells amazing and it hasn't got that sticky feeling that some lipgloss have. Thirdly there is nothing else because I have been busy working and doing my application for my teacher training. So a lot of things are happening in February and I will be posting some more on here.

Hello My Lovelies 

Today post is what I have been currently loving and wanted to share to my followers. So let's begin. The first item is a ring which is from Accessories. I have been wearing it everyday since I have bought it and loving it. It's a sterling silver encrusted ring band. Which is encrusted with crystals gems all the way round. It is very dainty with a lot of bling and it's a good ring to stack. I want to get more rings with less crystals and stack it on top. 

I have also been loving my new piercing, I have had the new piercing for about 2 weeks now and I love it. So I got a double vertical helix and I am IN LOVE. I cannot stop looking at it and I just loving it. I cannot wait to change the piercing to a different stud. I think the next stif will be a crescent moon and star which will look amazing.  

I have a new liquid matte lipstick which I been wearing all the time when I go out. The lipstick is Colour Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid by Maybelline in the shade Nude Frill. It's your perfect nude shade for my skin tone. It's very light and hydrating on the lips feels like your not wearing anything however it does not really last long when your eating. That is the only disadvantage however I don't mind reapplying it. Would still recommend it. So go check out the collection.

Shawn Mendez new album called Illuminate is AMAZING!! I am loving this album and has been on repeat since I got it. My favourite songs are Treat You Better, No Promises and Mercy. Another album which I love is Craig David's new one called FMI (Follow My Intuition). This album has so many good tunes which are fast and some that are slow. I am glad he is back because his music is amazing. My top three songs are 16, Sink or Swim Ain't Giving Up however all are my favourites. If you haven't heard both these albums, go check it out on YouTube or Apple Music because they are worth a listen.

Friday Loving #3

Hello My Lovlies 

I am sorry I have a missed a few weeks because I have been doing my assignment for Uni. So I had to type it up and hand it in. I wanted to put this up today because I have missed posting. So lets begin what I have been loving.

Waze

This is an app which was recommend to me and I have to say I love it. This app is like google maps but way better because it tells you when to slow down because there is speed camera coming and it will tell you that there is traffic. So that you can change your route so that you do not get stuck within the queue. I loved it because it was useful when I had to drive to London since didn't know where the speed checks where. So I really liked how they would warn me. So that I would reduce speed and not get a ticket. I would recommend this app to others who use their phones for sat nav. 

Makeup Revolution Lip Lacquer

I bought new lipsticks from Makeup Revolution from the Salvation Velvet range. There will be post coming but I wanted to mention one particular colour from the range. Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer in the shade Keep lying for you. This shade is a light purple and would suit a lot of skin tones. The pigmentation of these lip lacquer is amazing and it dries matte but doesn't make your lips drying either. I love how it sits on the lips as it does not go flakey or goes within the lines of your lips. There will be swatches of the colour in another post. So stayed tuned. I would really recommend you go to Superdrug and check it out. The retail price is £3, which is a bargain within itself. 

Chris Brown - The Breakup

Chris Brown released a mix tape called Before The Party before his album (Royalty) was coming out. The mixtape has collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Rihanna, Fetty Wap, French Montana, Wale and Tyga. I love the mixtape however my favourite song from the mixtape is The Breakup. This song is very soulful and a nice song to chill to. You just get to listen to Chris Brown's voice and actually enjoy the amazing voice he has. Go check out the mixtape and the song The Breakup. 

Justin Bieber - Purpose

Justin Bieber released his new album called Purpose and I have to say this is my favourire album from him. I have to say Justin has found his style of music because his previous album I really did not like and I was not into it. This new album is on repeat and I love all the songs. I would recommend you go and buy it because all the songs are amazing.

Ethnicity Tag!

Hello Lovelies, 

I thought it will be a good idea to do that Ethnicity Tag. So that you get to know my background. I hope you enjoy and please comment so I get to know you as well. 

1. Where are you from?

So I was born and raised in Buckinghamshire, England (Uk) but ethnic wise I am half Italian and half Kenyan. My Dad is from Italy and Mum is from Kenya. I like to think I have a good mix of culture and I am thankful I get to see different cultures as well. 

2. When was the last time you visited your country?

Italy I went last summer (2014) and Kenya I went summer of 2013. I go to Kenya and Italy every year however I was not able to go Kenya because of the times I finished my work placement and my A-levels results. Hopefully I am planning on going this year though. It was weird not going to Kenya last summer since I have been used to going every summer. 

3. What part of the country are you and your family from?

My dad is from Alvignano which is in the province of Caserta. My mum is from a village called Takaungu which is on the Kenyan Coast between Kilifi and Mombasa.

4. Name one ethnic food that you enjoy the most.

This is a tough one because I LOVE food. I love the dishes in Kenya and Italy. Some of the dishes in Italy I love are the Pizza, Risotto, Bruschetta, Meatballs and Lasagna. Nothing can beat my cousins Risotto and Pizza over in Italy are way more nicer. Kenyan dishes which I love are: Githeri (mixture of beans an corn together), Ugali (cornmeal), Sukuma (Kale cooked), Nyama Choma (Roasted Meat), Chapati (Bread) and so many more. I can go on and on talking about food. 

5. Name one household item that best represents your culture.

There isn't just one item that will represent my culture, there is a few things which are a bucket, African broom and a wooden spoon. 

Why bucket, you will see this in every household in Kenya because you use it to have a shower. The African broom will be used to sweep dust
5a. Ethnic Music..

I love Afrobeats...there are a few songs which I like which are DJXclusive f.t Wizkid - Jeje, Yemi Alade - Jonny, Davido - Skelewu and I like all of the P-Square songs, there is so many which I like. I would recommend you listen to some Afrobeats because they have good beats to them. 

6. Do you speak your language?

I can speak and understand Swahili (My mums language) however with Italian I can say a few words but also understand. In the future I want to be able to speak fluent in Italian and Swahili so that I can teach my children. I also want to learn Arabic since my great grandfather comes from Saudi.
