NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette

Hello My Lovelies

Last year NYX brought out the Ultimate Eyeshadow Palettes...They were exclusively sold in Selfridges however now you can get them anywhere. Four palettes each containing 16 shades in a mix of matte, skimmer, satin and metallic finishes. They are called The Bright’s, Smokey and Highlight, Warm Neutrals and Cool Neutrals.

When I went into Boots I had a look at the palettes and reached for the Warm Neutrals palette because these were my shades that I will use every day and on a night out. I loved all the shades and I typically go for browns, reds and golds on the eyelids.

The palette retails for £16 which I think is reasonable because you get 16 shades and that is £1 per eye shadow. So, I think the price point is good. The warm neutrals palette is most popular because it is always sold out everywhere. On the Boots website it is currently out of stock but do check in store because the might have them there. I will link below where else you can get palette.
Top Row Swatch
Second Row Swatch
Third Row Swatch
Bottom Row Swatch
When I swatch the palette I found the top row on my skin tone did not show up because they were that pale however I would mostly use them for the base, under the brow highlight or setting any eye primer. The rest they were rich, pigmented, bendable and buttery. I love all the shades and you can come up with so many different looks with it as well.

Overall I love the palette and would recommend this to everyone who love warm neutrals and always go for these shadows. It would not break the bank like other high end palettes will. So, go swatch the palette in store. I have not tried the other three palettes partly because I would not use the shades in the palette.

What do you think of the Palettes? Would love to know!

Huda Beauty: Liquid Lipstick

Hello My Lovelies

Huda Kattan launched her liquid lipsticks line last year before her eyeshadow palette launch. These liquid lipsticks comes in 16 different shades. They are hydrating and lightweight on the lips. They are not drying and feel very comfortable as some liquid lipsticks that I have tried can be very drying on the lips.

The packaging is amazing and has been thought out carefully. The lipsticks come in small box with Huda’s lips and is unique to other brands packaging. What I love about the packaging is that the lip colour will change to suit the lipstick shade you buy. The lipsticks are placed in-between the lips, so the lips are holding the lipsticks which is a cool illusion. There is a transparent cover with the lips and it sides out which has their logo and social media tags. The lipsticks themselves are packaged in a frosted glass squared tube and a black top. It is a dofa applicator and it fits on the lips perfectly.

I purchased 4 shades from Cultbeaty at £18 which is reasonable and worth the price. I did not have pay for postage because I exceeded the amount which is good. Who does not love free shipping. Cultbeauty shipping is very fast and quick which is good and I would recommend shopping of their website.

The 4 shades which I purchased were Trophy Wife, Trendsetter, Famous and Bombshell. Famous is your deep red which I love. Trendsetter is your classic nude colour. Bombshell is your typical pinky nude and Trophy wife is a pink which is not a bright one. So on my skin tone its my lips but better which is nice to have because I can wear it everyday. The shades I picked are very classic and you can wear them during the day and night.

The lipsticks do have scent which is very coconut and sweet smell which can be a love or hate thing. I loved the scent but it does not last once it is dried which is good.

The liquid lipsticks are a thin and runnier consistency which I like because I have time to play with it and perfect the shape on the lips. They are very pigmented a one swipe on the lips will give you the colour payoff. One layer of the lipsticks will give you full colour however you can put on another coat and it would not affect lasting power or the comfort on the lips. The formula is very light weight and feels like your wearing nothing on the lips. They are very long lasting on the lips and stay power is excellent. There was no crusting on the lips at all which is amazing.

Overall, I love the shades and would recommend them to everyone because there is shade which will suit all skin tones. I love how they feel on the lips and I am already eyeing some more shades to add to the collection.

Do you enjoy Huda Beauty's liquid lipsticks? Which shade do you love? Let me know in the comments

Huda Beauty: Textured Shadows Palette

Hello My Lovelies

Today is a review on this bad boy which I still can not believe I have. I was gifted this as my 21st birthday present from a loved one. I could not believe my eyes and was shocked when I opened it. Just a huge thank you to that person. Enough ramble let's begin.

So it is the Huda Beauty Textures Shadow Palette Rose Gold Edition. I feel she will be coming out with some more palettes but I am not sure because just think ing because of the way she tilted her palette. I feel in the future she will have other colour editions to this.

This palette has a range of mattes, chrome pressed pearls and 3D metal shadows which is your pressed foiled pigments. The shades used in this palette is lovely and can be used for everyday day use, bridal or going out looks. You have your neutrals and your pop of colour which is always good to have.

The palette comes in a black slide out cardboard case with the Huda Beauty Logo and the signature Huda Beauty Eye Logo which is on their eyelashes as well. There are accents of rose gold on the case of palette on her eyes and logo. When I was opening it I noticed it is very light weight and slim which is good and easy to travel with. The palette is made out of black cardboard with a clear plastic cover which flips open. I have to say for the price the packaging is a downfall because it is an expensive palette however the shadows within the palette makes up for the packaging. I would of liked a mirror included for the price your paying.

The formula of the shadows are to die for because the blend effortlessly and the textured shadows look amazing on the eye. The textured shadows are very creamy and pigmented which are best applied with the finger for better colour pay off. The pressed pearl shadows are very creamy with a fine shimmer, super pigmented and very easy to blend. The Mattes shades are AMAZING, the are not powdery whatsoever. The shadows has no talc and are very easy to blend on the eye. The mattes are finely milled and have nothing bad to say.

There is a little glitter fall out when your trying to blend the edges of the textured shadows. However I start with the eyes first so that I can clean up any fall out before foundation. Apart from that all shadows blend like a dream!

Swatches from left to right - Black Truffle, Suede, Coco, Maneater, Henna and Sandlewood
Swatches from left to right: #Blessed, Bossy, Flamingo, Shy, Bae and Moon Dust
Swatches from left to right: Dubai, Fling, 24K, Rose Gold, Trust Fund and Angelic

Overall I love this palette with the different textures of shadows and I see myself using this regularly. It is pricey palette however I know I will use this palette a lot and I am happy to have it in my collection.

Hope you enjoyed the review
